After setting out on the Camino in 2021 with my friends, the Gazelles, I later retraced part of the route on my own. These experiences left a deep impression on me and inspired me to become a host myself.
In 2023, I completed a six-month internship at a pilgrim’s lodge along the Célé. (Véronique and Jean, thank you so much). This hands-on experience in the day-to-day life of a host reaffirmed my plan to open my own gîteto welcome pilgrims.
Since spring 2025, the dream has become reality. Le Refuge des Gazelles welcomes you in Labastide-Murat, on the Rocamadour route, in a warm and authentic setting.

You can book via our contact or by phone at 06 85 64 62 07. We recommend booking in advance, especially during high season (especially during the months of May, June, and September).
Rates start from €20 per person in a shared room and €23 in a double room. The evening meal is €16 and breakfast €7. Half-board is available from €43.
Yes, Le Refuge des Gazelles is located on the GR 46 (Rocamadour route), between Rocamadour and Cahors, in the heart of the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Yes, dogs are welcome at Le Refuge des Gazelles. I can also accommodate one or two horses and donkeys.
The gîte is open from April 1st to October 31st. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out before 8:30 AM. But sometimes the gîte needs a break, and I need to go for a walk. So, during the 2026 season, the gîte will be closed from July 4 through July 18.
